Vintage styling on the high street

Now, as much as I adore true vintage, it's not always the best or most practical for everyday wear.  I also love reproduction vintage, but unfortunately these often aren't the cheapest options.  If you look to the high street you can often be surprised at what you can pick up, there's usually a few key pieces you can put together to create something really beautiful; a great match between vintage and modern.  I've been hunting online and here's what I've come up with that's stylish and budget friendly.

First up this Burgundy Ribbed High Neck Top from New Look is currently on sale and it's an absolute bargain!  It's so versatile, pair it with some cat eye glasses, a bullet bra and a pencil skirt for a really naughty but nice 50's book worm look.  If you want something a little softer this Green Fluffy Jewelled Neck Jumper also from New Look (and also on sale I might add) is on trend and is going to look great in the upcoming Spring months.  It would add a touch of glam to a casual outfit.  This New Look Nautical Striped shirt will never go out of style, especially in this classic square neckline.  This Glossy Fine Knit Bolero from Esprit will keep you warm in this grey weather, while making the most of showing the classic nipped in waist, instead of hiding it in bulky cardigans.

I'm completely in love with this Navy Jersey Pleated Midi Skirt from New Look,  it's so hard to find skirts this length on the high street normally.  Paring this with one of the jumpers would really look fabulous!  It you want to instantly make your outfit ready for a night out simply pair it with these Shell Pink Platform Heels again from New Look.  The hidden platform makes them easy(er) to walk in while still making a real statement!  If you want something more casual these Tan Brogues from Shoe Zone will go with nearly anything, and I already own them in black so I can confirm that these are really comfortable!  Lastly, and unusually for me the only dress on this list, is this beautiful print wrap dress from Esprit, which would suit almost any body shape and is an easy way to bring vintage style into your everyday life.

Do you have any favourite high street shop finds?
